We love wood and we passionately believe in preserving this fabulous resource. That is why we are members of the FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council) and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification).

We work to ensure that every timber product we offer is made with timber from sustainable sources. However, the trade in timber is global and supply chains are often complex. It is difficult to document the chain of custody all the way back to the forest with certainty. For this reason we specify FSC certified timber or PEFC certified timber whenever practically possible. Any product which we describe as FSC certified or PEFC certified has full FSC or PEFC chain of custody certification from the forest to your front door.

Members of the PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification)

Double Certification

By 2022 FSC and PEFC confirmed that a total area of 92 million hectares of forest in 33 countries is both FSC certified and PEFC certified. This double certified area is included in the figures for both organizations, which inflates the overall figures. FSC and PEFC jointly confirmed that by 2019 a reduced total area of 430 million hectares of forest across the world was certified by either or both.
